Some time ago, I previewed a coming summer tentpole picture called Wanted, in which a milquetoast-y office worker is trained by a secret society of assassins called The Fraternity to kill bad guys. The obvious selling point of the picture is the lethal, beautiful Fox, played by the incomparable Angelina Jolie, and fans of kick-ass action babes will likely find her character very agreeable. I often wonder why the Powers That Be who green light these films are averse to putting the female character in the lead, and this article I stumbled across asks that very question while profiling the lovely Ms. Jolie. Presented for your approval: The official “Red Band Trailer” for the movie, which I should warn features harsh language and violence, so avoid it if you are easily offended by such material. But I’m betting you’re not!

Most right-thinking people love watching hot babes kicking the crap out of hapless dudes, and if you fall into this category (why else would you be reading this?) then you’ll certainly love the offerings from New Goddess Cinema ($). The subject matter features such characters as Agent Krista and superheroines like Lexx, Super Julie, and Bionic Blondie in action movies involving various challenges, no doubt often resulting in them having to smack some guys around. I believe the site is affiliated with our friends at Evil Women Movies ($), but if not, please feel free to disabuse me of this notion.
